Project Overview: Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) is the public recreation provider for the residents of Madison. MSCR is a department of the Madison Metropolitan School District and is proud to have served the community for over 80 years. The group offers thousands of courses each year to a diverse community - seniors, school age kids, adults, and individuals with disabilities. The MSCR website also serves as a resource for employees, staff, board members and job prospects. Like many of our other clients MSCR relied for many years on a very outdated website that provided only limited information and few options to update.
Solution: Greenleaf worked with MSCR to formally rebrand the organization and develop a web platform that would bring together the its key systems - course listings/registration, event listings, online calendar, e-newsletters, job postings, sporting events and social media/share functions. Greenleaf recommended the open-source CMS Joomla for MSCR because of its expansion possibilities, low maintenance costs and ease of use. MSCR will continue adding content and new site features for years to come.
